Please join the SE-L Historical Society for a presentation on Camp Cleveland led by Christopher Roy. Camp Cleveland was not “hallowed ground.” It nonetheless played a vital role in the Civil War. From 1862 to 1865, more the 15,000 northeast Ohio soldiers gathered and trained there. From this corner of what is now Tremont, they traveled south to meet the enemy and, far too often, their maker.
